*  Isothermic Microbiology Analysis Gel

 A FIRST IN THE FIELD

Produce a clear, hard gel containing your sample and biochemicals (e.g, media, substrates, antibody) anywhere, anytime.  To your liquid sample add the patented inert gel powder+biochemicals, mix, and pour into a petri plate.  In minutes you sample is evenly dispered into a hard, clear gel. 

Uses:  allows biochemicals in powdered form to be stored at room temperature indefinitely.   A wide variety of biochemical formulas for different microbial analyses can be inexpensively manufactured and available. 

Benefit:  brings the ability to perform microbial quantitative and qualitative analysis beyond the laboratory.  In the laboratory, allows easy quantitative microbilogical analysis without equipment, sterilization, or skilled labor.

Add powder containg the isothermic gel mix and your biochemicals to your sample, swirl, and pour into a petri plate.  A clear, hard gel forms.

Based on the Colilert(r) format tests for the following have been developed and are patented:

HOSPITAL EPIDEMIOLOGY TESTS

Both tests are in powder form.  Add water (even tap water) to the powder, twirl the swab with the patients specimen, incubate, and examine for color change.  No skilled labor required.  Extremely low cost of goods. 

For the first time, important hospital epidemiology tests are available to both the small and large laboratory.  In addition, because the target bacteria are alive, additional testing can be done, such as further antibiotic susceptibilities or molecular fingerprinting.

Escherichia coli field tests
